Description

Mouse Anti-SARS-CoV-2 Antibody IgG Titer Serologic Assay Kit (Spike Trimer) | RAS-T023 | Acro Biosystems | SARS-CoV-2 Antibody Titer Assay Kits

Background

Since December 2019, the emergence of severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) and its associated disease, COVID-19, has caused a devastating pandemic worldwide. The SARS-CoV-2 pandemic presents an extraordinary challenge to the lives and health of the global population, resulting in a total of over 200 million diagnosed cases and 4.9 million death (as of October 2021). It also significantly affected the social, economic and environmental domains throughout the world and changed everyone’s life. ACROBiosystems, a leading life science company dedicated to aid the global COVID-19 response, developed different kits suitable for serum antibody detection in different species (Mouse, Monkeys, humans) to meet the needs of preclinical and clinical experiments.

Application

This kit is developed for detection of Mouse Anti-SARS-CoV-2 antibody (IgG) in serum in vitro.
It is for research use only.

Reconstitution

Please see Certificate of Analysis for details of reconstitution instruction and specific concentration.

Storage

The unopened kit should be stored at 2°C to 8°C. The shelf life is 1 year from the date of receipt. The opened kit should be stored at 2°C to 8°C. The shelf life is 1 month from the date of opening.

It is recommended not to freeze thaw more than 3 times.

Assay Principles

This kit is based on a standard indirect ELISA assay that allows rapid detection of Anti-SARS-CoV-2 antibodies (IgG) in mouse serum by SARS-CoV-2 Spike Protein. The kit consists of a Microplate Pre-coated with SARS-CoV-2 Spike Protein, Anti-SARS-CoV-2 Antibody (Control, Mouse IgG), and HRP-Goat-Anti-Mouse IgG Secondary Antibody.

Your experiment will include 5 simple steps:

a) Add your diluted Samples and Control to the plate.

b) Add diluted Secondary Antibody HRP-Goat-Anti-Mouse IgG to the plate.

c) Wash the plate and add TMB or other colorimetric HRP substrate.

d) Stop the substrate reaction by adding diluted acid.

e) To remove background noise prior to statistical analysis, absorbance (OD) is calculated by substracting the value at 450 nm with the value at 650 nm. The OD Value reflects the amount of antibody bound.
