Source
SARS-CoV-2 Nucleocapsid protein (Q384H), His Tag (NUN-C52H4) is expressed from human 293 cells (HEK293). It contains AA Met 1 - Ala 419 (Accession # QHO62115.1 (Q384H)). The nucleocapsid protein is consisted of the N-terminal RNA-binding domain (NTD) and the C-terminal dimerization domain (CTD), divided by a central serine/arginine-rich (SR)-linker responsible for phosphorylation. The mutation Q384H was identified on the nucleocapsid protein of SARS-CoV-2 variants with high frequency (~7%) in variants circulating in Africa (data retrieved from https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/33095454/).
Predicted N-terminus: Met 1
Molecular Characterization
Online(Met 1 - Ala 419) QHO62115.1 (Q384H)Development Suggestion
This protein carries a polyhistidine tag at the C-terminus.
The protein has a calculated MW of 47.3 kDa. The protein migrates as 55-65 kDa under reducing (R) condition (SDS-PAGE) due to glycosylation.
Endotoxin
Less than 1.0 EU per μg by the LAL method.
Purity
>90% as determined by SDS-PAGE.
Formulation
Lyophilized from 0.22 μm filtered solution in PBS, pH7.4. Normally trehalose is added as protectant before lyophilization.
